UPEMI has initiated a campaign titled „Pork and beef from Poland on the Philippine market” to promote Polish meat in this emerging market. The campaign aims to engage key importers, distributors, wholesalers, and representatives of public institutions to highlight the superior quality of Polish meat products.
Polish meat is recognised around the world for its remarkable taste, which stems from a combination of multi-generational breeding traditions and strict adherence to EU and national standards. These standards not only emphasise animal welfare and disease control but also ensure full traceability of meat sources and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Wiesław Różański, President of UPEMI, explains, „We have been active on Asian markets for years. This new project focuses on building lasting partnerships with suppliers in the Philippines. Our goal is to provide products that not only meet stringent standards but also inspire chefs and delight consumers”. President Różański also highlights the timing of the campaign launch as essential. In January 2026, the Philippine Department of Agriculture released a memorandum granting bilateral recognition of regionalisation regarding African Swine Fever (ASF). This decision lifted the temporary ban on Polish pork imports and published a list of establishments authorised to export Polish pork. At the same time, efforts are underway to fully open the Philippine market to Polish beef.
The primary objective of this project is to increase demand for Polish beef and support pork exports through comprehensive information activities. The programme targets:
- Importers and distributors operating in the Philippines,
- Representatives of regulatory institutions that influence market access rules,
- Polish meat processing plants looking to expand into the Philippine market.
We believe that, through these efforts, Polish beef and pork will become a staple on consumers’ tables in the Philippines. We invite you to stay updated on our activities.
