Korean importers appreciated the quality of Polish beef.
The inbound mission organized by the Union of Producers and Employers of the Meat Industry (UPEMI) is an important step towards opening the Korean market to Polish beef. The multi-day visit by KORMIA representatives and importers from the Republic of South Korea enabled a direct assessment of production and quality standards in Polish meat processing plants. Its results confirm the growing appreciation of Korean partners for the quality of Polish production.

– Zakłady Mięsne ŁUKÓW S.A.,
– Końskowola Meat Sp. z o. o.
Each visit included in-depth discussions with management and production teams. The Korean guests carefully analyzed the beef cutting processes, supervision systems, and quality control procedures. They assessed the entire production chain – from sanitary standards, through work organization and traceability, to logistics and product preparation for export. The delegation was particularly impressed by the transparency of the processes and the openness of the Polish plants to present every stage of production. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and build mutual trust – a foundation essential for establishing export cooperation in the demanding Korean market.
As UPEMI President Wiesław Różański emphasizes:
„Facility visits and process transparency are key to building reliable export relationships. This mission clearly demonstrated the Polish sector’s readiness to cooperate with the demanding Korean market.
The direct dialogue, the opportunity to show the infrastructure „from the inside,” and the openness to importers’ questions significantly increased the Korean side’s trust and confirmed that Polish plants represent high, consistent standards, in line with the expectations of the Asian market.”
Key conclusions from the mission:
– Korean partners highly value Polish meat processing plants – both in terms of production quality and process transparency.
– Process transparency and producer openness build the trust necessary to allow products to enter the Korean market.
– Polish plants are technologically and logistically prepared to export to markets with the highest quality requirements.
– The incoming mission strengthened relations, enabling direct discussions on future cooperation and trade terms.
The Polish meat sector demonstrates its readiness to meet the demands of the South Korean market – both in terms of quality and production scale.
