Quality control
Meat quality control is subject to strict regulations that define standards for meat production, processing, and distribution, including production hygiene, animal welfare, animal identification and tracking, and veterinary inspections.
Poland implements a range of measures to ensure compliance with meat production guidelines. These include inspections by the Veterinary Inspectorate at the breeding, slaughter, and storage stages. Animal husbandry conditions, slaughter processes, and compliance with sanitary standards are verified. Meat that meets quality and safety standards receives special markings or certificates. Additionally, laboratory tests are conducted to verify the chemical and microbiological composition of meat. Inspections also cover the import and export of meat and education on safe meat production and consumption.

Meat quality control plays a vital role in protecting public health, building consumer confidence in food products, and promoting appropriate standards throughout the meat sector. Regular inspections and monitoring can eliminate the risk of health problems associated with meat consumption and ensure animal welfare and the environment.
